The mother of 14-year-old Isabele Ramos Guimarães, murdered in a luxury condominium in Cuiabá, on July 12, waits for her daughter’s friend, the same age who shot her, to enter.
The Statute of Children and Adolescents (ECA) provides for the hospitalization of minors who commit offenses similar to heinous crimes, such as rape and qualified homicide.
Last week, the police completed the investigation into Isabele’s death. The document states that the friend must answer for an offense for intentional homicide -when there is an intention to kill-, recklessness and malpractice.
“What I hope most is that this girl will be hospitalized and I hope that the Public Ministry will present the complaint and respond to the police investigation in its entirety,” Patrícia Guimarães said in an interview with Fantástico (see below).

For the police, the teenager who shot left the case with one of the weapons on top of a piece of furniture in her room. She went to the bathroom and inside it shot Isabele from 20 or 30 centimeters away, at a height of 1.44 centimeters. The shot entered the nose and exited through the neck.
Chief Wagner Bassi, of the Homicide and Personnel Protection Police (DHPP), who carried out the investigation, told a press conference that the version he presented during the investigation was incompatible with what happened on the day of his death. and that his conduct was intentional, because, at the very least, he risked killing the victim.

For Isabele’s mother, the conclusion of the investigation does not “ease” the pain of losing her daughter.
“It does not console me, or my son. Because, you see, my daughter is no longer here to speak and I can speak for her. Her dreams were interrupted that day when she was shot in the head. She had a whole life ahead of her, she was a brilliant girl and today she is not here, ”said the mother.
In addition to the teenager, her 16-year-old boyfriend will be responsible for a crime analogous to the illegal possession of a firearm, for being armed without authorization. He is 16 years old and took the weapons to his girlfriend’s house. The shot that killed Isabele came from one of those firearms, which belonged to the young man’s father.

According to the delegate, despite the fact that he claimed not to have knowledge that his son had brought the weapons to the scene, he was charged with failure to take care of the weapon, as he would have the obligation to keep the weapons in a safe place.
The father of the teenager who shot, who is a businessman, was charged with possession of a firearm, homicide, delivery of a weapon to an adolescent provided for in the Disarmament Statute and procedural fraud.
