Seven people drowned on the beaches of the São Paulo coast on Sunday (6), according to information from the Guarujá Maritime Firefighters Group, in Baixada Santista. Three other bathers are missing. All the victims were men from inland cities and the capital of São Paulo.
In Guarujá, three drownings were registered in the Bay: a 60-year-old man from Cerqueira César, a 27-year-old from Várzea Paulista and another 24 from Sumaré. In Bertioga, a 22-year-old young man from Mogi das Cruzes was helped, who did not resist.
Also at 22 years old, a man is missing from the capital who was in Mongaguá. The city also reported the deaths of two unidentified men: one approximately 35 and the other 40 years old.
In Itanhaém, two young men from the capital have disappeared: one 21 years old and the other 18. In Ubatuba, a 25-year-old man drowned in Praia do Félix.
The beaches were crowded these long vacations, despite the coronavirus pandemic. More than 200 thousand vehicles descended to the coast of SP, a figure higher than that registered in 2019.
