The girl’s wife and father were injured in the collision with a ravine; the driver confessed to having drunk before driving
A 5-year-old boy died and two other people were injured in an accident this Sunday (6), on the MG-020, in Jaboticatubas, metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte. The girl’s mother, who was driving the vehicle, confessed to the Military Highway Police that she had consumed four cans of beer before driving.
According to information from the Fire Department, the driver lost control of the car that overturned and collided with a ravine. There were no other vehicles involved in the accident.
Still, according to fire officials, the death of the boy, who was in the car seat in the back seat, was confirmed on the spot.
According to the PMRv, the driver refused to take the breathalyzer test and was arrested and sent to the Santa Luzia Civil Guard Police Station. For the military, he said that the family returned from a waterfall and there they would have consumed alcohol.
The mother and father, who were in the passenger seat, had only minor injuries and did not need to be taken to hospital.
