On Saturday (5), the President of the United States, Donald Trump, held a rally in Lake Travis, Texas, to promote his re-election campaign to the White House. The event nearly ended in tragedy: Four ships of Trump supporters sank, but all of their crew members were rescued, The New York Times reports.
Travis County Security Service spokeswoman Kristen Dark said around noon (local time) she started getting many calls reporting problems on the boats accompanying the Trump Boat Parade.
There is no official information on the number of Trump supporters rescued, but the security service has a dozen more people saved by firefighters.

“We had an exceptional number of boats on the lake today. When they all started moving at the same time, there were major waves,” Dark explained to The New York Times.
According to Steve Salinas, who organized the event on Facebook, the water was very rough. “Since there are so many boats on the lake, Mother Nature makes her own plans,” he told the NY Times. He says there were boats up to 18 meters in length at the rally.
