The helicopter that took the duo Gino & Geno to a concert presented mechanical failures during the flight, this Sunday afternoon (6), and had to land in Santa Bárbara, in the Central Region of Minas Gerais. According to the artists’ press office, the pair is fine.
They had left Divinopolis, in the Midwest region of the state, and were heading to a party in Ipanema, in the Vale do Rio Doce Region. On the way, smoke began to come out of the plane. and, for safety reasons, the pilot decided to go down to see what was happening.
Also according to the duo’s advice, they continued the trip by car and the helicopter was taken for maintenance in Belo Horizonte.
The helicopter model R44 II, prefix PRNCG, has a normal airworthiness status in the Brazilian Aeronautical Registry (RAB). According to the National Civil Aviation Agency (Anac), the Certificate of Airworthiness (CA) was issued in April 2017, but it’s out of the standard.
