A major accident by Monegasque Charles Leclerc interrupted the Italian Grand Prix at Monza on Sunday. The Ferrari driver lost control of the car at the exit of the Parabolica corner and hit the tire protection head-on. Despite the violence of the impact, Leclerc left the car alone and ran to return to the pits, but had to undergo routine tests at the medical center. Watch the accident on video!
Italian GP: Leclerc hits hard
Leclerc had started 13th and, after changing tires, benefited from an entry into the safety car to remove Kevin Magnussen’s (Haas) car as his opponents pitted during the yellow flag. At the restart, the Monegasque jumped to fourth place, but suffered the accident shortly after.

During Ferrari’s withdrawal, there was an incident and the car fell into the escape zone. Fortunately, there were no flight attendants under the car and no one was injured.
On a bad Ferrari weekend, Sebastian Vettel had already left the race after brake problems. The German went straight through the Rettifilo chicane and had to pick up the car in the pits.
