The House of Manufacturers, in the center of Fortaleza, passes through a big fire Saturday night (5). The location is on Avenida Alberto Nepomuceno with Rua Rufino de Alencar, between the Metropolitan Cathedral of the city and the Central Market.
Teams from the Ceará Fire Department are working on site to control the flames. The House of Manufacturers is made up of several kiosks for the sale of clothes. The videos show the compound engulfed in fire and several officers working to combat the flames.
A team from the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) is also on site. None was injured. According to firefighters, at the time Casarão started to catch fire, there was only one vendor at the scene, but he managed to get out without hurting himself.
So far, firefighters have used about 10,000 liters of water to fight the flames.

The House of Manufacturers is considered one of the oldest buildings in the Capital. The building was built in the 19th century. According to the Ceará yearbook, the building is in the process of being provisionally overturned.
