Corinthians and Botafogo were in the tie in the debut of the new name of the Alvinegro Paulista stadium. In the next minute, Otero scored, but the goal was disallowed for lack of Jô in Benevenuto. In extra time, the forward redeemed himself, guaranteeing the draw.
With the result, Corinthians is in ninth place, with nine points. Botafogo is fifteenth, with eight. On Wednesday (9), the Rio de Janeiro team visits Arena da Baixada to face Atlético Paranaense. The next day, Timão receives rival Palmeiras for the first derby in São Paulo of this Brasileirão.
Game Highlight: Bruno Nazário
Bruno Nazario was the player who gave the most work to the Corinthians defense. At 21 years of the first half, he scored the goal that equalized the score in Itaquera. It also forced Cássio to make a good defense early in the second half. In the distribution of the game, the number 10 made more than 80% of the passes.

Ten minutes later, Fagner himself stopped the ball with his arm, resulting in a foul for Botafogo. Bruno Nazário practically sent from the edge of the area, and Cássio even touched the ball, but passed to leave the game at 1 to 1.
In the second half, the Ivorian Kalou received the ball from Rhuan and, although he was unbalanced, managed to deliver the score to Botafogo. In the next minute, Otero would tie the game again, but the VAR caught Jô’s foul in Benevenuto and the play was invalidated.
In the 48th minute, Fagner managed to find Jô, who redeemed himself from the lack of the disallowed goal and got a draw against Corinthians.
