Changes in Flamengo

Coach Domènec Torrent promoted changes in the starting lineup, and Flamengo started with Gustavo Henrique on defense, Filipe Luis on the left wing, Gerson in the middle and Michael and Pedro in attack. Recovered from a sprained left ankle, Gabigol started as an option on the bench.

Great start

The red and black team tried to push Fortaleza into the defense field just after the opening whistle, and the initial pressure worked. After five minutes, Everton Ribeiro scored a great goal. Pedro kicked, Felipe Alves bounced, and jersey 7 gave the goalkeeper a sheet before hitting the bottom of the net, head-on.

With the ball, but no space

Those of Doménec Torrent managed to have a greater presence in the attack field, but possession of the ball did not turn into clear opportunities. With a well-placed defense, Fortaleza hindered the opponent’s advances.

Two center forward

Dome slightly changed the face of the team when he removed Michael and placed Lincoln, who acted alongside Gabigol, giving the team two center forwards. On the first play, a good exchange of passes found Gabigol in the area, but the referee pointed to an impediment.

In and out
