Some bars are full and some are empty. This was the scenario seen by the Itatiaia report during the night of this Friday (4) the first after almost five months where bars and restaurants were able to reopen their doors for face-to-face service with the free sale of alcoholic beverages.

In the center of BH, the busiest bars were concentrated on Avenida Amazonas and Rua dos Caetés. In these places, tables and chairs were scattered on the sidewalk and people respected the social distance required by the city. In Praça da Savassi, mainly in the closed block of Rua Pernambuco, all tables were occupied, most of them with more than four people, which is prohibited by the PBH decree.

Also in the Praça da Savassi, some bars did not comply with the regulations of the city council, since customers were served standing up and with adjoining tables. In the Santa Tereza neighborhood, a traditionally Boemia region of BH, the movement in the bars was small, but some people did not wear masks inside some establishments.

The stores also opened on Alberto Cintra Street, in the Cidade Nova neighborhood, and on Fleming Avenue, in Pampulha. Some were very crowded, even with a queue to get in, and others were very empty, with waiters calling customers.

During the night, a working group made up of the Military Police, Municipal Guard, BHTrans and officials of the Belo Horizonte City Council visited the crowding points in the mining capital to inspect.

This Saturday the bars and restaurants will be able to reopen their doors in BH from 11 am to 10 pm.
