Brazil has 124,746 coronavirus deaths confirmed at 8 a.m. Friday (4), according to a survey by the media consortium based on data from state health departments.

Since the balance of 8 pm on Thursday (3), three states have updated their data: GO, PI and RR.

See consolidated figures:

  • 124,746 confirmed deaths
  • 4,047,790 confirmed cases

On Thursday, at 8:00 p.m., the balance indicated: 124,729 confirmed deaths, 830 in 24 hours. As a result, the moving average of new deaths in Brazil in the last 7 days was 858 deaths, a variation of -13% compared to the data recorded in 14 days.

In the confirmed cases, there were 4,046,150 Brazilians with the new coronavirus since the start of the pandemic, 44,728 of which were confirmed on the last day. The moving average of cases was 40,237 per day, a variation of + 9% in relation to the cases registered in 14 days.

In total, 2 states had a high death rate: AM and TO. It is the first time that only 2 states show an upward trend in the country since the beginning of the trend monitoring by the consortium, on July 9.

In relation to the fourth (2), RJ, PE remained stable and, today, they are falling. AP and RO both went up and are now stable.

The Fundación de Vigilancia Sanitaria Amazonas, responsible for the balance in the state, recalls that the AM figures have been impacted by the deaths of previous months that were reclassified by the Municipal Health Secretariat of Manaus as deaths by Covid-19. In PE, there was a data review that resulted in the removal of 299 severe cases and 65 deaths from Covid-19 from the cumulative totals. The review was for out-of-state patients and victims accounted for.

See how states fare:

  • Going up: AM and TO.
  • In stability, that is, the number of deaths did not decrease or increase significantly: PR, RS, SP, GO, MS, MT, AP, PA, RO, RR, CE, MA.
  • It fits me: SC, ES, MG, RJ, DF, AC, AL, BA, PB, PE, PI, RN and SE.

This comparison takes into account the average of deaths in the last 7 days until the publication of this balance in relation to the average registered two weeks ago (understand the criteria used by G1 to analyze pandemic trends).
