Still undefeated in the Brazilian Championship, Palmeiras saw the pressure on the work of coach Vanderlei Luxemburg and the team’s performance increased just before a streak against the only rivals to beat Verdão in 2020: Bragantino and Corinthians.
On Sunday, the Palmeirenses will go to Bragança Paulista to face the interior team, in a match that will be played at 11 am. Thursday will be the day of Dérbi in Itaquera, for the ninth round of the national competition, at 7.15pm.
In 2020, Palmeiras has 12 wins, 10 draws and two defeats in 24 games, with 33 goals scored and 13 conceded.
In Paulistão, Verdão lost in Bragança Paulista and Itaquera, in matches still for the first phase of the state tournament. Then, Vanderlei Luxembourg’s team opened an unbeaten streak and won the São Paulo title.
