The National Institute of Social Security (INSS), in alliance with the National Council of Justice (CNJ), will announce as of this month the automatic implementation of the Continuous Payment Benefit (BPC / Loas) for a value of R $ 1,045 to the elderly and disabled with limited resources.

The goal is to provide more agility and simplicity in payments to policyholders who win lawsuits. In a note, the municipality reported that “[…] focuses on benefits of assistance and has been working to interface with justice systems. This first phase of interconnection is scheduled for September ”.

Process analysis

Currently, the analysis of the legal processes to receive benefits from the INSS requires the integral participation of public servants. However, already in the first months of 2020, there was an increase in the number of decisions made by the Federal Justice that require implementation, reaching 200 thousand.

According to the assistant to the presidency of the CNJ, Lívia Pérez, the search for automated judicial implementation will be carried out in a safe and timely manner, preventing them from expiring. “With automation, a court order that today may take months to fulfill will be implemented in hours,” Pérez said. Furthermore, errors in supporting demand will also be less recurrent.

In the opinion of the magistrates, the tool will be of great value for the Justice, for the Executive Power and, above all, for the insured citizen. This is because the INSS will spend fewer resources on penalties for delaying the granting of benefits, for example.

Personal assistant

The return of the face-to-face activities of the INSS is already dated: next September 14. Until then, those who need to use some of the municipality’s services must resort to remote assistance, either through the “Meu INSS” website or application, or through Central 135.

However, even after the resumption in physical branches, virtual channels will remain available, as the options proved efficient during the more restricted period of social isolation.
