The number of Aleksander Santos, Flamengo’s director of institutional relations, was one of those present in the so-called “Guardiões do Crivella”, a group created in a messaging application and used by public servants to monitor and prevent reports on the health crisis in front of municipal hospitals in Rio.

Responsible for the relationship between Flamengo and the current powers, Aleksander affirmed that he has no political role and has conversations with government officials, regardless of their ideology.

The “Guardiões do Crivella” case was denounced by Rede Globo last Monday. The Public Ministry of Rio de Janeiro investigates the participation of Mayor Marcelo Crivella (Republicans) for alleged participation in the illegal scheme.

Also due to this fact, the Rio de Janeiro City Council will vote tomorrow (3) to open an accusation process against Crivella. The president of the City Council, Jorge Felippe (DEM-RJ), decided to take the request to the plenary session, after favorable opinions from the Prosecutor’s Office and the General Secretariat of the Board of Directors. The Carioca Legislature received two requests for impeachment from Crivella for the practice: one signed by state deputy Renata Souza (PSOL-RJ), a candidate for the City of Rio, and another from councilor Átila A. Nunes (DEM-RJ) ).
