Neymar tested positive for Covid-19, according to information from the newspaper “L’Equipe.” The Brazilian is one of three contaminated athletes at Paris Saint-Germain after the test on Wednesday morning. The Argentines Di María and Paredes are the other two names in the squad that were contaminated by the new coronavirus.

The three contaminated were in Ibiza, enjoying a short break after the final Champions League defeat against Bayern Munich. With that, Neymar, Di María and Paredes will go through a week-long quarantine until new tests are done and new results are published.

Paris Saint-Germain is scheduled to debut in the French Championship on September 10 against Lens, away from home. For this duel, the three contaminated must not enter the field, since they are also away from all training until they are discharged by the club’s medical department.
