A happy woman, dedicated to her family and with a generous heart. Thus, friends describe Flavia Godinho Mafra, 24, a victim of a crime that shocked the state.
Married for almost a year to Valdeli Mafra, her first boyfriend, the young woman was looking forward to her first daughter, Cecília, to be born in September. The dreams of the newly formed family, however, were brutally interrupted on Thursday afternoon 27, when Flavia was attracted by a surprise baby shower and murdered with brick. Little Cecilia was taken from her belly with a pencil by the woman who confessed to the crime to the police and is in custody.
Flavia was buried at the beginning of this Saturday 29, under great emotion from family and friends who still do not believe that everything has ended so tragically.
Waiting for Cecília
With a degree in Pedagogy from Unifebe, the young woman was passionate about children and worked for some years as a teacher in early childhood education. This year, however, she helped one of her best friends in an embroidery shop in Canelinha.
Jeisiane Benevenute Pacheco had known Flavia since childhood, but they became closer during adolescence. Her friend participated in several important moments in Flavia’s life, such as her wedding, and was also chosen to be one of Cecília’s godmothers.
“Flavia was my right hand here at the store. It helped me a lot. This year, due to the pandemic, they took her out even more because in addition to the pregnancy, she had diabetes, she was at risk, so we thought it would be good to stay home. But we talked every day on our cell phones, ”he says.
The friend describes Flavia as a sweet, loving and very generous person. “She was very good-hearted for people. I was moved. If the person was good to her, she would already smile, trust people a lot and, out of spite, end up trusting this woman who took her own life.
Jeisiane points out that Flavia and her husband were a very special couple. “She was determined, capricious, she loved to decorate, she liked music. She was very attached to her mother and her husband was everything to her. He is very devastated, she was his support ”, he says.
The friend also says that Flavia was radiant with the pregnancy and that she took care to prepare everything for the arrival of her daughter. “Cecília was very loved and pampered by her. Flavia was a great mom during the pregnancy. We were very happy to have been chosen godparents of Cecília. Now, let’s help him take care of her. “
Jeisiane still has a hard time believing that her friend’s life has been so brutally interrupted. “I have very good memories of her. It is difficult to speak. For me, she is still alive, I still can’t believe it happened ”.
“There was no bad day for her”
Josiane Firmo da Silva, another friend and chosen by Flavia to be Cecilia’s godmother, describes the victim as a smiling person. “She was an incredible person, always smiling, he didn’t have a bad day with her. Always playful, a great teacher, ”she says.
The friend says that Flavia was also a great daughter and wife and was always willing to help. Josiane remembers that her friend was very happy with the arrival of her daughter.
“I was happy and very anxious now at the end. I was going to see her on Tuesday in Florianópolis and maybe she was already there for the delivery because she had gestational diabetes. Flavia was very important to everyone and she deserved to be very happy ”.
