The 59-year-old pastor and federal deputy Flordelis dos Santos de Souza (PSD-RJ), suspected of being involved in the murder of her husband, Anderson do Carmo, spoke of innocence and said she was not prepared for jail during an interview with the journalist Roberto. Cabrini from SBT.
The deputy was denounced by the MP-RJ and the Civil Police last Monday (24) as the main crime. Because she has parliamentary immunity, she was not held in preventive detention.
“Not [não estou preparada para ser presa]. And I will not be, because I am innocent and I am sure that my innocence will be proven in the next few days, “she said, at her home, in Niterói (RJ).” I did not kill. I didn’t do what they accuse me of. I did not do it. It is not real, it is not true. It is an injustice, ”she said then.
During the interview, Flordelis cries profusely and said that she loves her murdered husband. “I love my husband to this day. I need to know who my husband was killed. I don’t know [quem mandou matá-lo]. If I knew, I would speak here, now. Whoever ordered the killing of my husband is dishonoring my life, ”he stressed.
When asked about regrets, he said. “I’m sorry I didn’t go in with him [na garagem, onde recebeu vários tiros]. I didn’t know what was going to happen. “
Report against 11 people
In addition to Flordelis, ten other people were reported and arrested on the same day. The police find out if the other children of Flordelis, in addition to those already denounced, were in the crime. The deputy has 55 children, adopted and biological.
According to delegate Allan Duarte, the first phase of the investigation identified Flávio dos Santos Rodrigues, the deputy’s biological son, as the perpetrator of the crime and Lucas César dos Santos, the couple’s adopted son, as the person who bought the weapon used in the crime. murder.
According to the investigation, Flordelis planned the murder and was responsible for listing and convincing the direct executor and other defendants to participate in the crime under the pretext of robbery.
The deputy also financed the purchase of the weapon and warned the victim of the arrival at the place where she was executed, according to the complaint.
The motive for the crime would be the fact that the victim maintains strict control of family finances and strictly handles conflicts, not allowing privileged treatment of those closest to Flordelis to the detriment of other family members.
What the defense says
Since the beginning of the investigations, Flordelis has denied his involvement in the crime. Lawyer Maurício Mayr said he believed in his innocence in the case.
“The deputy from the beginning of this second investigation was treated as a witness, now being charged at the end and reported. She was a witness at that time and did not hinder the investigations,” he said on the day of the complaint.
The lawyer for the five detained brothers and their granddaughter, Luiz Felipe Alves, said that the decision was generic and did not consider “individualization as to the real and effective need for preventive detention for each of the accused.”
