A fire hit the Santa Luzia Hospital, one of the most traditional in Brasilia, this Saturday morning (8/29). Images shared on social networks show a large amount of smoke coming from the place.
The fire was confirmed by the Federal District Fire Department. According to the corporation, the fire occurred in the engine room located on the fifth floor of the hospital.
By 10:50, the fire was already under control, but the feeling of apprehension was great among the patients and professionals working on the site. The hospital needed to be evacuated and many people gathered in the inner courtyard in front of the emergency room. There is still no information on victims or injuries.

Santa Luzia is located in the South Hospital Sector, in the region there are also important private hospitals of the Federal District, such as Santa Lúcia, Hospital do Coração and others.
