The Secretary of State for Education, Julia Sant’Anna, announces this Wednesday (13), at 12:30 p. M., The beginning of the Non-Present Study Plan for students of the Minas Gerais state public network. As a preventive measure for the spread of the coronavirus, the transmission will be made through the social networks (Instagram and Facebook) of the Government of Minas Gerais. There will also be a live broadcast on the Rede Minas open channel and link.
According to the secretary, three main tools were developed for students and teachers to use in distance classes during the period when on-site activities for students are suspended. The first of them is now available: Tutorized Study Plans (PET). These are brochures with the content of the disciplines that will be developed during the period.
The material will contain the theoretical content and the activities that will take place during the weeks and must be downloaded from the website estudeemcasa.educacao.mg.gov.br. In addition, the material was prepared by year of schooling, considering the Minas Gerais Reference Curriculum (CRMG) and the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC). Students without Internet access will receive printed materials. The organization of the process of delivery of the printed tutorial study plan to the students must be carried out by the school.

On Monday (18), the “Se Liga na Educação” program premieres at Rede Minas. It will be responsible for showing classes, from Monday to Friday, from Monday to Friday, in the morning. In addition, the classes will prioritize the content with which the students have more difficulties. Additionally, one hour of the program will be broadcast live, allowing students to interact and ask questions. Thus, the contents were distributed by area of knowledge.
For this, in the second, the topic will be languages (Portuguese, English, literature, arts and physical education). On Tuesday, the subject is Human Sciences (History and Geography). Mathematics will be studied on Wednesday. Fifth will be the turn of Natural Sciences (Biology, Chemistry and Physics). And on Friday, a specific program aimed at students who are preparing for the National High School Exam (Enem).
Rede Minas is present in 186 municipalities, and SEE expects the program to reach around 1 million students online. Furthermore, according to the station’s Technical Directorate, there are today in Brazil around 20,000,000 satellite dishes that can receive the signal from the Red Minas via satellite. Net and Oi TV subscribers also have the Rede Minas signal.
School connection
Also starting next Monday, the third online teaching tool will be available: the mobile application School connection. On the platform, students and teachers will have access to the PET and they will still be able to find the classes that are already shown in the “Se Liga na Educação” program. The app is available on the Google Play Store and will soon be on the Apple Store as well.
Navigation in Conexão Escola will be paid by the state, without discounting the student or teacher’s data plan while connected to the application. Starting on May 25, the app will be further improved, making the chat feature available, allowing for interaction between students and their classroom teachers.
The tool will also allow students and teachers to interact in virtual rooms to facilitate the understanding of the content and also to answer questions about disciplines and fixing activities.
