These actions follow the same line of contaminating fans in demonstrations demanding the return of the dictatorship or greeting passers-by on random visits to the streets of Brasilia.
Bolsonaro can be accused of genocide, but not inconsistent. This has always been your position. There is no difference between this and the pronouncement, on radio and television, on March 24, when he called the pandemic “influenza” and “cold.” Or the CNN interview on March 15, when he called it “hysteria.” Or the statement at an event in Miami, United States, on March 12, in which he was treated as a mere “fantasy”. The disdain for covid-19 has been a critical part of his narrative from the start.
Every day, Bolsonaro does everything possible to bring the Brazilian population back to normal. At the moment, unemployment is part of this crisis. But if he fails to reverse it by 2022, he is unlikely to be reelected.

For not knowing how to govern, Bolsonaro dedicates himself body and soul to the “Ministry of Truth”, as I warned more than a year ago. Presented in George Orwell’s “1984” novel, it has the function of reformulating history and any news that is contrary to the government itself.
Bolsonaro’s “Ministry of Truth” signals a pandemic and says there is nothing to worry about. He asks us to isolate the elderly without saying how it will be done in the slums. At this point, the president must be thinking about his next media action to demonstrate normality.
