The number of cases of the new coronavirus in Espírito Santo reached 4,242 today. In the past 24 hours, another 254 people have been diagnosed with the disease. Deaths from covid-19, caused by the new type of coronavirus, reach 165. Even with these data, the state governor affirmed the gradual reopening of the Espírito Santo trade, starting next Monday (11).

Through a live broadcast, Renato Casagrande (PSB) said the exchange will work alternately. The decision was made after a meeting with industry businessmen that lasted approximately two hours at Palacio Anchieta, the government headquarters. The measure is applied mainly to municipalities with a high risk of contamination, such as those of the Vitória Metropolitan Region.

“A part of the commercial activities will be closed on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The Trade Federation is deciding, but it should start next Monday, for materials related to the body, clothing, shoes, cosmetics, it will work three days ” everything that is not connected to the body, Tuesday and Thursday. The following week is reversed, “explained the governor.

Commerce then follows this scale of operation, from 10 a.m. at 4 p.m. On the days that the doors are closed, merchants will be able to work as a delivery. On the other hand, shopping centers will remain closed without an opening date.

“Shopping is a place with a large flow of people. The restaurants that were open on weekends will also be closed, but are free to provide the service until delivery, starting next Saturday the 16th,” said Casagrande.

The businessman Flávio Gianordoli, has two stores in Vila Velha and Vitória. Since 19 it has been closed.

It also suspended employee contracts and was unable to even pay rent for the space. “We did not fire anyone because we would not have money for the terminations. Since March 19, we have not paid any supplier, as well as the rent and all the purchase expenses,” said Flávio.

Fines up to R $ 6 thousand

The use of masks will be mandatory throughout the state in commercial establishments and industries, in addition to public public transportation. Anyone who disrespects can be warned on the scene. If the situation is repeated, a fine of more than R $ 6 thousand will be applied.

“Every bus company, home business, store owner, if the customer does not wear a mask, the fine will go to the store owner and the bus company. We will adjust the inspection next week, because we have to distribute this responsibility for social isolation, “said Casagrande.
