On Friday night (08), in the Anchieta Palace, in Vitória, the state government announced new rules for the operation of the stores. Among the changes is the operation on alternate days of stores according to the products they offer and a fine for those who do not comply with social distancing protocols.
The use of masks will also be mandatory throughout the state in commercial establishments, services and industries, in addition to public transportation in the Metropolitan Region.
According to Governor Renato Casagrande, the objective is to share the responsibility for isolation with everyone, since until now only commerce has had to completely stop activities.
“We are making compensations so that we can move towards the reopening of an activity that has been closed for almost two months,” Casagrande described, recalling that the sector was one of the first to feel the effects of the pandemic directly.
Casagrande also explained that the measures are directly related to the number of beds occupied. “We work with a reversible system. If the bed occupancy reaches 80%, we will have to take more radical measures,” he said.
