The Down Detector website, which monitors outages and failures in online services, noted a peak of failures in Claro-NET services around 1:30 p.m. today (4). In an interval of one hour and ten minutes, 4,273 complaints were registered, 92% of them about the internet signal. The company identified a technical instability in the network and reported that services were restored during the afternoon.
In a statement, Claro said its fixed broadband service “is working normally,” but acknowledged that there was a problem with customer service in the São Paulo region.
“Due to technical instability in the network, some clients in the city of São Paulo may have had difficulty connecting early in the afternoon today (4), but the signal was quickly restored with the performance of the technical team” he explained.
According to Down Detector, among the places most affected by the fault are São Paulo, Campinas (SP), Rio de Janeiro (RJ), Guarulhos (SP), São Bernardo do Campo (SP), Santo André (SP), Manaus (AM ), Curitiba (PR) and Osasco (SP).
