In 2018, Ramage was Bolsonaro’s security during the electoral campaign. He took over security after the then candidate was the victim, in September, of a knife attack in Juiz de Fora (MG). Since the campaign, his friendship with the Bolsonaro family has intensified.

In July 2019, he was appointed to Abin’s board member. Before, he worked with former Minister Santos Cruz, head of the Government Secretariat in the Bolsonaro administration in the first months of his term.
