On Wednesday, the fourth day of the week, the index and transactions in the country’s two capital markets declined. On this day, the main index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) DSEX has decreased by 20.19 points or 0.36 percent from the previous day and stands at 5,046.06 points. Transactions on the DSE also decreased compared to the previous day.
Shares worth Tk 65.64 million rupees were traded on the DSE on Wednesday. On the previous business day it was 633 crore 94 lakh rupees. On the day, shares of 358 companies and mutual fund units were traded. Of these, 131 have increased and 126 have decreased. And the price of 99 does not change.
Among the other two Dhaka indices, the DSES or Shariah fell 3.10 points to 1242.64 points. The DS30 index is down 15.75 points to 2,092.30 points.
Shares of Beximco, Robi, Bexiferma, LankaBangla, Lafarge, Summit Power, GBPower, Energy Pack Power Generation Limited, IDLC and Square Pharma were the most traded stocks in Dhaka.
At the top of the list are Information Service Network, Fine Foods Limited, Engineering Limited, International Leasing and Financial Services, Safco Spinning Mills, Robi, Anlima Yarn, Haqqani Pulp, Central Insurance Company, and.
The top 10 stocks on the price cut list are Savar Refractories, Maxon Spinning, Shampur Sugar Mill, Rupali Bank, Saif Power, LankaBangla, GBPower, Orion Pharma, Bay-Leasing and Investment Limited, and Midas Financing.
On the other hand, the main index of the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) CASPI has fallen 71.21 points to 15,917 points, 51 percent less than the previous day. Shares worth Tk 32.79 crore were traded on the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) on the day, up from Tk 33.42 crore the day before. The stocks and mutual funds of 240 companies were traded on the CSE that day. Of these, 64 have increased, 98 have decreased and 59 have remained unchanged.
Block market: 16 companies were listed on the block market of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) on Wednesday. Shares worth Tk 2.5 crore have been traded in these companies. This information has been known to DSE sources. 25 lakh 75 thousand 601 shares of companies have changed hands 36 times. Through this, 19 crore 70 lakh 21 thousand shares of the companies have been traded. Among the companies, Square Farmer had the highest turnover of Tk 8 crore 69 lakh 70 thousand. The second largest turnover of Tk 8 crore 65 lakh 93 thousand was recorded by IDLC and the third largest turnover of 1 crore 80 lakh 71 thousand was by Central Insurance.
