Cyclists Shubh Kar (24) and Mau Mandal (21) are known to have been killed in a head-on collision between a bicycle and a pickup truck on State Road No. 5 in Betkundri, Jhargram, India.
Shuvo and Mau were returning from Jhargram after buying puja. A pickup truck heading towards Jhargram came from the opposite side of the road in Betkundri. The driver of the truck and Shubh applied the brakes. However, Shuvo and Mau were run over by the truck. The truck also overturned.
Police from Binpur and Jhargram Police Stations arrived at the scene after receiving the news. Shuvo and Mau were rescued and taken to the Jhargram District Super Specialty, but could not be rescued. The police seized the truck. However, the driver escaped.
Shubhar’s house is in Dahijuri. I was in the plate line business. His father owns a large candy store. The Maui house is in the town of Andharia. Mau and Shubhar’s love story was accepted by both families. They were supposed to get married.
