Roman model and actress Islam Swarna, who was arrested in her ex-husband’s case, was sent to court.
The officer in charge of the Mohammadpur Police Station, SI Shafiqul Islam Khan, confirmed to Jugantar that he was sent to court around noon on Friday.
Police arrested Lalmatia Swarna in the capital on Thursday on charges of embezzling 1.5 million rupees from her ex-husband.
Mohammadpur Police Station OC Abdul Latif said a movie starring Swarna was released in 2015. She was also a model for multiple commercials.
In 2016, Swarna met Saudi expat Kamrul Hasan on Facebook. They were married in March 2019. Kamrul then went to Saudi Arabia. Swarna took 1.47 million rupees from Kamrul under various pretexts, such as buying a car and a flat and doing business.
When Kamrul returned to the country recently, Swarna said that she had been divorced from Kamrul a long time ago. The hype is threatened with death. Then Kamrul filed a case at the Mohammadpur Police Station. He was arrested at Lalmatia’s house at night.
