Again, a short syllabus has been published for SSC-HSC candidates. The curriculum prepared by the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB) was published by all boards of education on Thursday night. Previously, the short CSS syllabus was published on January 25 and was withdrawn.
It is known that a short syllabus was presented to the Inter-Board Coordination Subcommittee at a meeting held at the NCTB last Thursday. On behalf of NCTB, Prof. Nehal Ahmed, Chair, Inter-Board Coordination Subcommittee and Chair of the Dhaka Board of Education received the curriculum. They are then posted to all forums and posted overnight.
According to sources, the Ministry of Education has plans to hold SSC exams in June and HSC exams in July-August. As a result, this year’s curriculum has been developed with a plan for 60 business days at SSC and a maximum of 60 business days at HSC after the opening of the educational institution.
An NCTB official said that a new thematic program has been prepared not only for students but also for students. In the abbreviated syllabus, the division of questions and the numerical structure will be correct in all subjects. That is, the questionnaire will be prepared from the agenda that has been developed. However, there have been some changes in the structure of the English question. Of these, various parts have been omitted, including the narration and the syntax of the English grammar. Also, you don’t need to write essays in English.
In the first phase, the Dhaka Board of Education published a short SSC syllabus on January 25. The students objected. Teachers, students and parents said it was not possible to complete the short published syllabus in three to four months. The initiative was then taken to shorten the curriculum on the instructions of the Minister of Education. On January 26, NCTB was given the responsibility to shorten the syllabus. His time was set until February 4.
Concerned people say that between 20 and 30 percent were omitted from the syllabus published in the first phase. But this time the syllabus has been developed by selecting between 30 and 35 percent of chapters in each subject. Since the Ministry of Education is not willing to give autopsies in any way this time, a short syllabus of the SSC-HSC has been prepared for students to easily pass.
