According to the Income Tax Ordinance, the return must be filed before November 30. The journalists asked the president of the NBR if the time would be extended due to the epidemic.

Taxpayers also receive an acknowledgment of receipt immediately after filing the return ”.
The NBR president also highlighted the latest revenue collection situation at a press conference held in the NBR conference room in Segundobagicha.
According to the press conference, the VAT Electronic Tax Device (EFD) testing activities have been successful. A thousand more EFDs will be installed next month. Another 10,000 EFDs will be installed in phases.
Journalists also questioned the head of NBR about the High Court directive on collecting revenue from global digital platforms such as Facebook and Google.
He said: “The verdict has not yet come. The difficulty in collecting income from this sector is that we obtain income only from remittances sent through banks. Sending money by other means such as hundi does not generate income.
