The bodies of two missing NGO officials were recovered six feet underground

The two missing NGO officials are Rajibul Islam and Abhijit Malo.

Police have recovered the missing bodies of Rajibul Islam, 29, and Abhijit Malor, 28, from the Society Development Committee (SDC) in Dhaka’s Nawabganj upazila. Two bodies were recovered from the ground six feet below the bank of the Ichhamati River near Yusuf Ali’s chicken farm in the Durgapur area of ​​the Churain union of the Upazila around 7:30 pm Monday.

Meanwhile, a special team of the Dhaka District Police and the Dhaka North DB Police arrested Johnny (25), Yusuf Ali (32) and Monir Hossain (30) on charges of murdering NGO officials and concealing their bodies.

The deceased were identified as Rajibul Islam, son of Golam Sarwar from the Gauripur area in Faridpur district and Abhijit Malo, son of Ranjit Malo from Aziza village in Nagarkanda upazila of the same district. Both were field officials from the Churain Taltola branch of the NGO SDC.

The detainees are identified as Muklesur Rahman from Durgapur village under the union of Churain from Johnny upazila, Yusuf Ali son of Anis from the same area and Monir Hossain son of Ayub Ali from the same area.

The Dhaka (Crime South) District Additional Superintendent of Police said. Humayun Kabir said Rajibul Islam, an NGO official, had been missing since December 5 last year. Later, on March 17, another official from a local NGO, Abhijit Malo, disappeared in the same area. When a case was filed at the police station, the police arrested three people involved in the incident using information technology. The bodies were recovered according to confessional information from the detainees.
