No one was found in the rape victim’s home
A madrasa teacher raped a student from Ishwarganj in Mymensingh day after day turning her into a ‘religious girl’. It was revealed when the local UP president asked for justice. When more than one piece of news about this incident was published, law enforcement officials, including RAB, police and DB, remained motionless. But due to the intervention of the local referees, the girl and her family left the house and disappeared. The rape victim’s home was found closed Tuesday.
According to local sources, the founding teacher of Ummahatul Mokmenin Adarsh Mahila Madrasa is Maulana Abul Mansur (55). The area is known as ‘Hazur’. He built a madrasa in front of the house. Besides teaching the Quran, he also runs a coaching business here. About a hundred students from the area study at the madrasa. Hazur Abul Mansur is known to have been married twice in the area. The two wives also live together. In this situation, she used to come and go to that house regularly turning a girl from a nearby village into a ‘religious girl’. At one point, she told the family to keep the poor girl in the madrasa at her expense and took on the responsibility of studying. Meanwhile, realizing his evil intentions, the girl went home to escape him. He did not come to the madrasa for several days. The girl’s mother said she was upset that her daughter would no longer go to the madrasa. Say no more. Faced with this situation, one day the man came to the house and took the girl back after reciting many hadiths. A month later, the girl returned home and said that her husband had treated her like his own wife by taking various oaths and had also signed a white stamp saying that he would marry her if she protested.
When the local president was informed about the incident, he called the alleged lord last Friday and, in the presence of his daughter, told the president about the incident of rape by the lord day after day. The incident was widely publicized as it was not possible to attempt to resolve the matter through arbitration. President AKM Motabbirul Islam told Kaler Kanth that members of the girl’s family came to see her last Friday and showed her a white stamp. The stamp has the signatures of the girl and the madrasa teacher. The family was later asked to take refuge in the police station. But when the report was published in the newspaper the next day, law enforcement officers arrived in the area and searched for the girl but could not find her. Family members took the girl away. The accused madrasa teacher has also disappeared.
Locals, who did not want to be identified, said some arbitrators had sent the girl and her family to Dhaka after imposing large fines on the defendants.
Ishwarganj Police Station OC Abdul Qadir Mia said police were on the lookout for the girl. The case will be recorded with a written complaint as soon as it is found.
