The last day to file a tax return is Monday (November 30). Overflowing crowds can be seen in tax areas at the last minute. This afternoon in the capital’s Segundobagicha, you can see different tax areas in front of each stand. Taxpayers queue for hours to file income tax returns.

AKM Anisur Rahman, an employee who came from Mirpur to return to Dhaka Tax Zone 11, said he left early in the morning to present his statement. He said, such a long line. It takes about 25 minutes to walk from the door to the post. Sleeves, however, work fast. He said it seemed like a hassle to go out because of Corona. But the last day seems to be more troublesome.

Taxpayers and tax officials say that the number of recipients of services in tax areas has increased in the last day because the time for filing returns was not extended. The tax inspector of the fiscal region, Saira Jerin, said that there are 4 cabins in 11 zones. Each has received 1,200 to 1,500 returns every day for three to four business days. He said: ‘Although the filing of the return started from July 1, the taxpayers flocked towards the end each time. Everything hurts. If they had come earlier, the problem would have been less. More than five hundred returns have been deposited at each stand since the morning.
