No one knows how the closing ceremony of education will be held
No one at Dhaka University knows the answer as to why Radhag Day is forbidden, why it is forbidden, how it is forbidden or in what rules or practices the students will organize the closing ceremony after Radhag Day is forbidden. All this is not known by the vice-rector of the University at the same time, not even the two vice-rectors. However, everyone knows that this decision was made in the academic council of the university. A press release issued by the university’s public relations department on Wednesday said the Radh Day ban was banned. The circular called Radhag Day “inhuman, cruel and unethical.”
Meanwhile, the university’s public relations department released the revised notice within 18 hours of the notice. Information on the Radh Day ban from the Public Relations Department has been inadvertently presented differently, according to the notice. The statement says the Academic Council’s decision has been made and concerned authorities have been asked to monitor any inhuman, disrespectful and undisciplined behavior on behalf of the observance of Radhag Day on campus and in residential areas. Policies need to be formulated for organizing colorful events / festivals / rallies, etc. for the purpose of “Completion of education”, Graduation Festival. That is why the committee has been formed. The convenor of the commission will be the Vice Chancellor (Administration), the Dean of the Faculty of Arts, the Faculty of Biology and the Faculty of Business Administration, and the Proctor will be the Member Secretary.
Regarding such a decision, students say, Rag Day is one of the happiest days for students at the end of their education. Giving Radag Day a cruel and inhumane adjective is proof of the administration’s irresponsibility. The students said that the inhumane activities of the administration, the guest rooms, the public halls are not unethical, only the student parties are inhumane, cruel and unethical.
In this sense, the rector of the Prof. Maryland University. Akhtaruzzaman said that the word Radhag means wild, wild, sterile. Violent or inhumane acts cannot be carried out at the end of education. When asked what the closing ceremony would be called, the rector said that words like closing ceremony, graduation ceremony, reception, etc. could be used. instead of Radhag Day. The respective departments and institutes will take care of this. The rag day that used to be on campus can’t go on.
Professor Vice-rector of University (Education). ASM Maqsood Kamal said: “I don’t know why Radag Day was banned.” It was approved after some professors supported it after it was suddenly raised at an Academic Council meeting. The Vice Chancellor (Administration) will be able to say better about it.
Vice-Rector Professor (Administration). Muhammad Samad said, there was no discussion with us. The vice-rector himself made a decision on these matters and such a decision was made to show surprise with the press release.
