The University Board of Education (Academic Council) has decided to suspend admission to evening courses at Dhaka University (DU) until the policy is finalized. But the Faculty of Business Education will take the admission test for the evening MBA course without informing the university authorities before the policy is established.
The admission test for the 45th batch of the program will be held on Friday from 11 am to 12 pm The exam will be held at Azimpur Government Girls School and College in the capital. In this regard, the acting dean of the faculty of business education has given the necessary instructions to the teachers and officials of 9 departments of the faculty.
But the vice chancellor of Dhaka University said he knew nothing about the test. Akhtaruzzaman and the Vice Chancellor (Administration), Professor Muhammad Samad. Both said at first glance that a decision on the course of the afternoon has not yet been made. Such an exam is not supposed to take place until the policy for this course is finalized.
At the Board of Education meeting on February 25, all activities for the admission of new students in all irregular courses, including evening courses, were suspended for five weeks. During that time, a 16-member committee headed by the University’s Vice Chancellor for Education was formed to formulate a timely policy for conducting evening courses. However, due to the coronavirus infection, the policy work could not be completed.
