Former deputy MA Hashem died at the age of 8 at 1:20 pm on Wednesday at Evercare Hospital in Dhaka. He was hospitalized with Kovid. He is survived by his wife Sultana Hashem and five children Aziz Al Qaiser, Aziz Al Mahmoud, Aziz Al Masood, Rubel Aziz, Shawkat Aziz and many other supporters.
MA Hashem was born in Noakhali on August 30, 1943 and began his entrepreneurial career in 1982 through the tobacco business. Later, he created various manufacturing and service companies, such as furniture, boards, food and beverages, plastics, paper, cotton, yarns, jute, real estate, textiles, shipping, agriculture, clothing, aeromerin logistics, etc.
MA Hashem is one of the founders of two private banks in the country: City Bank Limited and United Commercial Bank Limited. He founded Janata Insurance. He is the founder of MA Hashem College, Noakhali and one of the founding members of North South University.
