In 2016, Rifat Sharif was injured in a motorcycle accident and was in treatment for a month and a half. At this time, Minni’s new love story with Nayanbond unfolded. Minni secretly married him on October 15, 2016 at the Nayanbond home. Through witness Raihanul Islam, Kazi Anichur Rahman celebrated her marriage with a five lakh rupee stamp. When Rifat Faraji asked Minni’s husband, Rifat Sharif, to return his mobile phone, Rifat abused him. Nayanbond briefed Minni on the matter. Rifat Sharif got into a fight with Minni and at one point Rifat Sharif kicked Minni in the lower abdomen. Minnie got angry and informed Nayanbond about the incident over the phone and went to Nayanbond’s house the next day, June 25, in the name of going to college. There, Minni plans to assassinate Rifat Sharif with Nayanbond to clear the way. After receiving a proposal from Nayanbond Minni, she met with the defendant at the Shaheed Minar of Barguna Government College around 5:30 pm and planned to kill Rifat Sharif. At the same time, the defendants were asked to appear in front of the school at 9 am.
According to the charge sheet, the defendant met with Rifat Faraji, Rabbi Akon, and Rifat Hawladar on the morning of June 26 in front of the Minni College Science Building. Minni is shocked to see the accused empty-handed and wants to know from Rifat Faraji, why will Rifat Sharif be killed empty-handed and with what? At that moment Rifat Sharif arrived at the university gate to take Minni away. Then Minni went with Rifat Sharif to the motorcycle parked in front of the university gate. But Minni returned to the university for the purpose of giving the defendants a chance around the gate as previously planned and to delay. At that time, Rifat Sharif went to the university behind Minni. Minni then directed the defendant to attack Rifat Sharif. The defendant Rifat Faraji and others grabbed Minni’s husband and dragged him to the front of the Calix Academy. At that time, Minni normally walked behind them.
According to the charge sheet, the defendant Rifat Faraji ran and pulled two bogies with both hands from a tin bag placed on the veranda of a Nurul Haque in the alley adjacent to the east wall. At the same time, the defendants Tiktak Hridoy and Rakibul Hasan Rifat Hawladar ran and brought two sticks. The defendant Rifat Faraji kept one day on the road and began raping Rifat Sharif with the other. Musa, Maruf Mallick and Ratul Sikder guarded the victory. Defendant Minni was normal at first, but then he pretended to save Rifat to avoid responsibility and only tried to contain Nayanbond. According to the charge sheet, since Minni acted to save her husband and avoid responsibility for the incident, the defendant did not hit Minni as planned. At that moment, the damn Rifat Sharif went to the hospital in a rickshaw alone, but Minni was seen lying on the road picking up her toiletry bag and shoes. Later, Minni went to Barguna General Hospital with Rifat Sharif in a rickshaw. Doctors said the late Rifat Sharif should be transferred to Barisal Medical College Hospital after initial treatment. Minni then went to her father’s house on the pretext that his clothes were soaked in blood, so it was not possible to go to Barisal.
The charge sheet read, the defendant Minni, Rifat Faraji, Rashidul Hasan Rishan, Md. Hasan, Tiktak Hridoy gave a confessional statement under Section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code. On the other hand, on January 8, the Barguna Juvenile Court brought charges against 14 minors accused in the Rifat Sharif murder case. The Barguna High Court and Juvenile Court have released bail to eight accused minors.
