Amid the tensions in Ladakh, India has successfully tested one missile after another. India’s defense research institute DRDO has tested anti-tank guided missiles ranging from snakes to supersonic BrahMos. India has successfully tested 12 missiles in just 45 days. This has been reported in the local Indian media.

The missiles are “flight” anti-ship missiles. The test launch of the anti-ship missile was carried out on October 23 in the Arabian Sea from the Indian Navy’s Missile Corvette INS Coral warship. On October 22, DRDO successfully completed end-user testing of the ‘Nag’ anti-tank guided missile (ATGM), including Warhead. On October 19, the DRDO test-launched the “Sant” anti-tank missile. The Indian-Russian supersonic cruise missile BrahMos, a joint venture between India and Russia, was successfully launched from the Indian Navy’s INS Chennai stealth destroyer-class warship in the Arabian Sea on October 16.

On October 9, India’s first anti-radiation missile (ARM) or radar destroyer was successfully tested. The surface-to-air missile (ASM) was tested at Balasore on the east coast. The Rudram-1 missile, capable of going twice as fast as sound, is capable of destroying any enemy radar and radiation-dependent surveillance system in the blink of an eye. On October 5, India launched a test of an intelligent torpedo system made entirely of indigenous technology.

On October 3, India successfully tested a hypersonic “Shourya” missile capable of carrying nuclear weapons manufactured throughout India. On October 1, the DRDO tested a laser-guided anti-tank guided missile (ATGM) made with Indian technology. On September 30, India launched a test of a long-range version of the BrahMos supersonic missile. On the night of September 23, India launched a nuclear-capable surface-to-ground Prithvi-2 surface-to-ground missile. On September 22, the high-speed extendable air impact vehicle “Habit” was piloted.

The test launch of the hypersonic technology demonstration vehicle “HSTDV” began on September 6. India successfully launches Hypersonic Technology Demonstration Vehicle (HSTDV) manufactured on APJ Abdul Kalam Island on the east coast. It can reach a height of 32.5 km (20 miles) in just 20 seconds with 8 times the speed of sound.
