On Tuesday, the main index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) DSEX fell 23.95 points or 47 percent from the previous day to stand at 5123.08 points.
Shares worth Tk 972.04 million were traded on the market, compared to Tk 969.34 million on the previous business day.
The shares of 356 companies and mutual fund units were traded on the DSE. Of these, 125 have increased and 159 have decreased. And the price of 72 hasn’t changed.
Among the other two Dhaka indices, the DSES or Shariah index is down 7.96 points to 1,175.53 points. And the DS30 index is down 6.16 points to 1,606.04 points.
On the other hand, the main index of the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) CASPI has fallen 72.60 points to 14.623 points, 0.42 percent less than the previous day.
Shares worth Tk 44.40 crore were traded on the CSE, up from Tk 65.26 crore the day before.
Shares and mutual funds of 269 companies listed on the CSE. Of these, 96 have increased, 125 have decreased and 56 have remained unchanged.
