Police arrested a man named Mostafizur Rahman Badal in Barguna on charges of having an affair with 28 women who used a fake Facebook account as Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP). Badal used to cheat by opening a Facebook account under the name of the Brahmanbaria Additional Police Superintendent.
He was arrested in the Kathapatti area of Barguna municipality on Saturday night. The house of Mostafizur Rahman Badal is in the Charakgachhia area of the Dhalua junction of Barguna Sadar upazila. He is Majid Dafadar’s son from the area. He has a pharmacy business in the woodpecker area.
According to the Barguna police, Badal bears some similarities to Brahmanbaria’s additional police superintendent, Abu Saeed. Taking advantage of this opportunity, the detainee using the name Abu Saeed as the Additional Superintendent of Police of Brahmanbaria has been using a Facebook ID. The matter recently came to the attention of the Additional Superintendent of Police Abu Saeed. He confirmed the matter to Badal with the help of information technology and informed the Barguna police. Badal was arrested in his own pharmacy in a raid around 8:00 p.m. yesterday.
In this regard, the officer in charge (CO) of the Barguna Sadar police station, Tariqul Islam Arun, said: “The scammer Badal has formed an immoral relationship with at least 28 women on Facebook under the guise of additional SPs and exchanged offensive photos and videos on Messenger. “
He was arrested on Sunday under Section 54 and sent to jail through a Barguna court. Brahmanbaria Additional Police Superintendent Abu Saeed said on his mobile phone: I informed the Barguna police and asked for their help. A case has been brought against him in Brahmanbaria according to the rules.
