DSCC has been campaigning at Fulbaria Super Market-2 in the capital since December 7 to evict non-designer stores.
According to the city corporation, off-design 911 stores have been installed in recent years.
A case has been brought against seven people, including former DSCC Mayor Mohammad Saeed Khokon, on Tuesday for embezzlement of around 35 million Tk rupees.
The complaint was filed in the Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate’s Court Ashek Imam on Tuesday.
Regarding the case, Saeed Khokon said in a statement on Tuesday, “The current DSCC mayor, Sheikh Fazle Nur Taposh, is doing all this filth with Delwar Hossain Delu. This is tarnishing the image of himself and the team. “
The court asked the Office of Investigations (PBIE) to investigate and report on the allegations.
