Later, under pressure from the crowd, the police picked him up and took the two young men to the police station. As seen in the viral video, the young man is admitting that it is dog meat.
According to locals, instead of beef, dog meat has long been cooked and fed in food hotels in the Pagla Bazar de Fatulla area. At the same time, dog meat biryani is sold. The hotel owners buy these meats at Pagla Bazar and Fatulla. The locals, including the Pagla Bazar Business Association, are suspicious of this. On Saturday night two young men were arrested carrying 50 kg of meat in a sack. When I asked why they brought the meat so late at night, they doubted they could answer. They were later arrested, beaten and handed over to the police. With that the meats are thrown.
Fatullah Police Officer in Charge (CO) Aslam Hossain said tensions erupted when two young men were arrested on suspicion of selling dog meat in Pagla Bazar. Upon receiving the news, two young men who supplied meat were taken to the police station to calm the situation. During questioning, they said that its owner had imported the meat from India. The meats are delivered to different hotels. Why would a dog supply meat to hotels in a Muslim country? They mainly imported buffalo meat from India and supplied it to hotels. After verifying the owner’s documents, they were released.
He added that since the incident is sensitive. So the animal department official Kamruzzaman has been informed. He will check the meats on Monday. However, if there is dog meat instead of buffalo meat, no one will be able to pass.

Model Police Station Deputy Inspector Fatullah Ashraf, who was present at the scene, said that two young men came to deliver meat at various Biryani shops in Pagla Bazar around 1:00 pm on Saturday. At the time, the locals described the meat as dog meat and beat two young men, Arif (28) and Rabbi (18). Later, the police went to the scene and took the two young men to the police station.
“During interrogation, we came to know that it was actually buffalo meat imported from India,” Ashraf said. We went through his papers and those meats and found out the truth of the matter.
