Prominent commentator from the subcontinent, researcher, director of Araibari Islamia Sayedia Kamil Madrasa from Brahmanbaria and Pir Allama Ghulam Sarwar Sayedee from Araibari Darbar Sharif have died after being infected with the virus (Inna Lillahi). After the janaza, his body was buried next to the graves of his father and grandfather adjacent to the Darbar Sharif mosque, hundreds of people from different political parties, classes and professions participated in the janaza. Earlier, the body of the deceased arrived at Kasba Araibari from Dhaka at 12:30 pm. At that time the hearse was kept on the grounds of Madrasa, the favorite campus of the deceased. Thousands of fans gathered to see the beloved scholar. At that moment, a heartbreaking scene unfolded in the voice and tears of the mourning crowd. Even after the Asr Janazah, the Madrasa Maidan was filled to the brim before Zuhr. Due to the lack of space in the field, people participated in the janaza standing in different places, including the mosque, the adjacent cultivation field, each room of the madrasa, the roof, and the road. Hafez Maulana Abdus Sobhan, the eldest son of the deceased, led the janaza.

It can be mentioned that Golam Sarwar Sayedee was admitted to Evercare Hospital in Dhaka a few days ago after contracting Covid-19 and was on life support. After being treated in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for 17 long days, he finally went to Allah.

It is known that Golam Sarwar Sayedee was a Peerzada. He is the worthy son of the late Pir Hazrat Maulana Shah Muhammad Golam Haqqani (Rah.) Of Araibari Darbar Sharif in the heart of Brahmanbaria. Sayedee’s great-grandfather was Hazrat Maulana Muksud Ali (ra) from Narui village in Nabinagar upazila of Brahmanbaria district. He was a rural scholar. Maulana Abu Saeed Asghar Ahmad, Ghulam Sarwar Sayedee’s grandfather, established Araibari Alia Madrasa and a thriving library at the Kasba upazila municipal headquarters in 1938. Later, his son Maulana Muhammad Ghulam Haqqani took the helm. Then Mohammad Golam Sarwar Sayedee upgraded the madrasa to Kamil Mane in 2004. In addition, he built the Araibari Islamia Chayedia Orphanage, Lillah Boarding, Araibari Hakkania Hafezi Madrasa, Araibari Sayeda Suraiya Noorani Madrasa, Islamic Reading Club.

Today, Ibtedai, Junior, Dakhil, Alim and Fazil Kendras have settled there. Since its inception, the Madrasa has participated in various social development activities in the area, including the dissemination of education and the prevention of non-Islamic activities.
