To this end, the ACC investigator has recommended issuing a notice requesting the details of Monir’s property together with his wife.

Assets in the name of Golden Monir include a six-story building on a 2.5 katha lot in Badda, a five-katha lot in the Uttara business area, a 50 million rupee investment in Jamjam Tower in Uttara, a four katha plot in Pragati Sarani in Baridhara Block-J, Plot no. 2 in Baddar Baridhara J Block. In April 2012, the ACC filed a case against Monir Hossain alleging the illegal acquisition of assets worth Rs 1.81 million Tk. Harun Aur Rashid, the then ACC deputy director, filed the case as a plaintiff. The investigation of the case has not yet been completed due to various complications, including the court order. ACC Deputy Director Mosharraf Hossain Mridha is currently investigating the case.

Case transferred to DB

The three cases brought against Monir Hossain alias Golden Monir, a businessman arrested by the RAB with weapons, drugs and a large quantity of gold ornaments, have been turned over to the Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Police (DB).
