Then-Cox’s Bazar Police Superintendent Masud Hossain recommended on the charge sheet that departmental action be taken against investigating officer RAB-15’s assistant superintendent of police. Islam Khairul.

RAB held a press conference at the RAB media center in Dhaka on Sunday afternoon to report on various charge sheet issues.

Responding to a question from reporters about the plot, Lt. Col. Ashiq Billah, director of the law and media branch, said the role of then-police superintendent Masud Hossain was unprofessional. He (SP) was extremely indifferent to the matter. He should have been more careful in performing his duties. For these reasons, it has been recommended in the charge sheet to take departmental actions against SP Masud.

A RAB spokesperson said the plan and direct assistance from the officer in charge (OC) fired from the Cox’s Bazar Police Station Teknaf Pradeep Kumar Das, Major (Ret.) Sinha. Rashed was killed. He established a sanctuary for illegal activities in Teknaf using legal weapons. He was killed after planning at the Teknaf Police Station.

Ashiq Billah said Sinha went to speak with Pradeep in mid-July after learning of the yaba trade. Then Pradeep directly threatened Sinha. Pradeep thought that Sinha would leave Cox’s Bazar if threatened. But the murder was planned since he did not leave Cox’s Bazar. This is what the investigating officer found in the investigation.

Lt. Col. Ashiq Billah, director of the media and law branch, said in response to a question from reporters about the assassination plot, Sinha said. Rashed was a friend. He went to Teknaf as part of the launch of his YouTube channel. Soon the locals became friends with him. You may know about Pradeep Kumar Das’s torture on the Teknaf people. There is also evidence of participation in the yaba trade. He had some information that, if revealed, could have put Pradeep Kumar Das in a crisis of existence. On this basis, he went to the Teknaf Police Station to speak with Pradeep Kumar Das. At that time, Pradeep Kumar Das asked them to refrain from such activities. But Sinha wants to continue her work without leaving Teknaf.

Later, he had a meeting with Deputy Inspector Liaquat and three informants at the Pradeep police station. Pradeep also gave instructions to finalize the assassination plan.

Ashiq Billah also said that some of the defendants had tried to “divert the incident.” He said that in the third week of July, Liaquat had met with three sources, Nurul Amin, Nezam Uddin and Mohammad Ayaz, about the assassination plot.
After the shooting, Sinha was rushed to the hospital to confirm his death and later taken to the hospital to be seen. He said Pradeep had established a sanctuary in Cox’s Bazar using illegal legal government weapons.
