The store has been created occupying the space of the bathroom. Not even the elevator space and the human walkway were left out. Therefore, 911 off-design tents have been installed in one store.
Merchants have been doing business in these stores for more than a decade. Now Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) has decided to demolish these unplanned shops. The name of the store is Fulbaria Super Market-2. It is located south of the DSCC headquarters city building. Merchants are in trouble due to such an initiative by the corporation. They say they have been running these stores for so many days by renting them out to the corporation. They have to get in the way of such a decision.
According to DSCC sources, after new mayor Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh took over, he formed a committee to find out about the unplanned store and its general situation. A five-member committee headed by the corporation’s chief engineer identified unplanned 911 stores on the market and recommended eviction. With the consent of the committee, the mayor has given instructions to vacate these unplanned stores.
