Mohsin Talukder, 40, fled Sylhet to Sunamganj after threatening to kill cricketer Shakib Al Hasan. He was hiding in a house in the Purba Pagla union village of Ransi in South Sunamganj upazila district. That house belongs to him. From there, RAB arrested him around 11:15 a.m. Tuesday.

Mohammad Abdullah Russell, deputy superintendent of RAB-9 police, told Prothom Alo that Mohsin was hiding in Sunamganj. The RAB raided the homes of several relatives and acquaintances in Sunamganj. His wife and the president of the Parishad Union (UP) of the area were brought to Sunamganj from Sylhet. The wife also helped catch Mohsin. Mohsin spoke to his wife on his mobile phone at one point Tuesday morning. RAB confirmed his location from the source of that phone call. He was later arrested at that house in Ransi village. After the arrest, Mohsin was taken to Sylhet RAB’s office.

Mohsin Talukder is the son of Azad Box Talukder from Shahpur Talukdarpara village in Sylhet Sadar upazila. Although Mohsin once did business, Corona has been unemployed since the epidemic began.
