DU ‘D’ and ‘C’ units are suppressed

From the academic year 2021-22, the undergraduate admissions test will be taken in three units (Science, Arts, Business) at Dhaka University. The admission test for unit d of the faculty of social sciences and unit of the faculty of fine arts will be abolished. However, this year the admission test will be carried out according to the above rules.

The issue was discussed at a meeting of the university’s committee of deans on Sunday (November 8). The meeting was chaired by Vice Chancellor Prof. Maryland. Akhtaruzzaman. At the end of the meeting, the vice-chancellor said, ‘The admission test activities will be carried out through three units considering the three groups that exist at the upper secondary level (science, arts, commerce) in the future. The name of the three units will be decided later.

It will be effective from the 2021-22 academic year. In this case, the admission test for unit D of the Faculty of Social Sciences and unit F of the Faculty of Fine Arts will be suppressed. Students in these two units will also be admitted through the science, arts, and business education units.

The university administration will make this decision to reduce the number of exams and the suffering of the students. Different art techniques will be followed later on how to combine unit f and unit d with only three units in a, b, c.

Students from the upper secondary science department are admitted to Dhaka University through an exam in unit A, students from the humanities department are admitted through unit B, and students from the business education department are admitted Through unit C. After the exam in these three units, the exam of unit D of the Faculty of Social Sciences was carried out. Through which the students of the three departments would take the exam only for the change of department. In this case, many used to take exams for admission to business or humanitarian sciences. Again, he used to give human beings tests to quit the business.
