A young man named Abir was cheating and demanding money by posting an offensive photo of a young woman after establishing a relationship on his mobile phone. Khilkhet police arrested her in Mirpur on October 8 on the basis of a complaint made by a young woman. He said in police questioning after his arrest that he had taken money from several young women in the same way.
According to Khilkhet police, Abir contacted a 16-year-old girl on WhatsApp. At one point a relationship developed with him. The two used to chat regularly. At one stage in the love story, the young woman got emotional and had an offensive video chat. Abir kept the video chat secret on his mobile. A few days later, Abir stopped communicating with the girl, accusing her of having an affair with another boy. Suddenly, on October 3, Abir sent an offensive image (offensive video chat) to Victim’s WhatsApp. The victim demands money on WhatsApp and is mentally tortured by proposing an immoral relationship. He threatened to post the offending video on social media if he wasn’t paid and he didn’t have an affair with her. The girl then went to the Khilkhet police station with her mother on October 6 and informed the CO. The young woman kept saying, ‘Lord, save me or I’ll kill myself.’ The CO assured them and the case was closed the same day. Then Abir’s location was identified with the help of information technology. The clever Abir changes places from time to time. In this situation, the police arrested Abir at the Mirpur-1 roundabout at 6:30 pm. After the arrest, the police went to Abir’s dining room and seized video clips with offensive images of the victim and various other offensive videos from her used mobile phone and laptop.
Khilkhet police OC Mohammad Borhan Uddin said. Abir has been using social media for a long time to catch many girls and collect large sums of money. Video clips of the victim have been recovered including the arrest of the accused.
