Border tensions with China continue. Meanwhile, India has successfully launched a state-of-the-art ‘Shaurya’ missile capable of carrying a nuclear warhead. The missile was successfully tested off the coast of Odisha on Saturday (October 3). It goes without saying that this new version of the nuclear-capable missile will boost the morale of the Indian army.

The surface-to-surface missile was launched from the Integrated Test Range (ITR) launch complex on APJ Abdul Kalam Island in Odisha at 12.30pm.

According to the ANI news agency, the new version of the nuclear-capable missile has a range of about 1,000 kilometers. And it is capable of carrying a 200 to 1000 kilogram nuclear warhead. This hypersonic missile will join India’s ‘Strategic Missile Force’. The missile, 10 meters long and 64 centimeters in diameter, weighs 6,200 kg.

India has created a “Strategic Missile Force” to counter the enemy’s nuclear arsenal and possible nuclear attack. In addition to the value, it has nuclear-capable fire missiles and other missiles.

The Defense Research and Development Organization of India (DRDO) has stepped up its efforts to become self-sufficient in missile technology. In particular, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call for self-reliance in the field of defense has increased the pace of work.

India successfully launched an extended-range BrahMos supersonic cruise missile last Wednesday. The missile, a joint venture between Russia and India, is capable of reaching up to 400 km. This test was carried out under the DRDO project ‘PJ-10’.
