So far, six defendants have been arrested in connection with the gang rape of a housewife in the dormitory of MC College in Sylhet. But none of them admit to being involved in the violation. They continue to delude themselves by creating confusion with a single piece of information from time to time. One of the accused even insulted the tortured housewife in court.

The main defendant, Saifur, and the other two defendants, Arjun and Rabiul, were presented in court on Monday and during their pretrial detention hearing, one of the defendants said they were not involved in the incident. They don’t know the facts. Rajan, Tareq and Ainuddin caused this incident.

Upon leaving court the same day, lawyers said there was no remorse among the detained defendants. They are not ashamed of the tragedy.

The following day, the defendants Shah Mahbubur Rahman Rony, Rajan and Ainuddin Ainul were brought before the court. At that time there were more than 100 state attorneys on the court.

At one point during the hearing, while defending himself, the defendant Rajan insulted the housewife. The attorneys present were angered by his harsh words. All the lawyers present in court protested together.

Attorneys said the defendants were making such comments to deflect the incident.

After the defendant’s pretrial detention hearing, lead attorney Habibur Rahman Habib came out and said: ‘Your arrogance has not diminished. They are trying to divert events. We are protesting.

He said: ‘MC College is the university of our life. The defendants have hurt the tradition of this traditional school. So no attorney from our bar association will defend rapists.

Meanwhile, RAB arrested the defendants Shah Rony, Rajan and Ainuddin. After their arrest, they were questioned by RAB. In a press release, the RAB said it had received disturbing information from the defendants.

Ainuddin, who was arrested by the RAB, is the grandson of the famous thief Majid of Sylhet. He is known as a yaba merchant in the area. Under his leadership, the yaba business was controlled from Shelf Point to Toolticker. He is known as an active leader of the Ranjit group of the Chhatra League.

After handing over the three defendants to the Shah Paran police on Monday night, the defendants resorted to various dramas about the rape incident. They claimed his innocence during police questioning.

According to the police, after the arrest, the accused wanted to blame the housewife who was raped. As a result, the police do not believe them. According to the police, the defendants are manipulating to divert the incident.
